TRAINER - JACKSONVILLE, FL
Purpose of Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Trainer to support the onboarding and development of employees in our Quality Test and Inspection team. This position reports to the Quality Manager with a dotted line to the Learning Programs Manager. This role is responsible for delivering effective new hire training, verifying training outcomes, and supporting the development and continuous improvement of training materials. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for teaching, knowledge and experience in quality processes, and a strong understanding of electrical manufacturing environments.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate onboarding and job-specific training for new hires in the Quality Test and Inspection team. This includes, but is not limited to, production and quality processes, quality standards, and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Observe and assess trainee performance to ensure skill acquisition, understanding of procedures, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Talent Development to maintain training records and document satisfactory completion of training in the LMS.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during the design, review, and revision of training materials, including assisting with identifying performance gaps and training needs.
  • Provide ongoing training for current employees as procedures, technology, or quality standards evolve.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Assist in developing work instructions.
  • Assist with inspection when not conducting training. 
  • Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience required in providing instruction to a group of people.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical theory, drawing symbols.
