SALES REP MANAGER – JACKSONVILLE, FL

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Manage Sales Representative Network to grow IEM’s business on the Eastern part of the United States. Territory covers all customers and reps east of the Mississippi River.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop sales goals, targets and key customer accounts within the representative’s territory.
  • Evaluate current reps and recommend new reps as required to meet company sales goals.
  • Accompany reps to key customers to support and showcase IEM products and services.
  • Attend tradeshows and industry events.
  • Engage Sales Engineers as needed for technical discussions and sales efforts.
  • Work closely with Manager of Quotations to ensure timely and accurate quotes.
  • Perform other duties which may be required by manager.

INSIDE SALES / PROJECT MANAGER – FREMONT, CA

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The overall responsibility of this position is to support Sales Engineer by managing and overseeing the sales process for assigned sales accounts to ensure a smooth sales process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work closely with Sales Engineer and oversee the sales process for assigned accounts and ensure all areas of the sales process are executed to plan
  • Facilitate and coordinate with other teams, such as quotations, engineering, drafting, purchasing, manufacturing, testing, and shipping to ensure customer’s needs are met

SR. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST – FREMONT, CA

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist to join our amazing team. The qualified applicant should be a detail-oriented problem solver who loves working with numbers and has a "can-do" attitude.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Process vendor invoices and employee expenses: matching, coding, posting, receipts validation and policy compliance etc.

APPLICATIONS ENGINEER – FREMONT, CA

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position will be responsible for providing technical quotations through the analysis of cost of materials & labor associated with designing, engineering, and producing final custom assemblies for our LV/MV Switchgear in addition to testing and developing solutions for eQuote modules.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Applications

      • Review designs, schematics, and drawings to provide accurate technical quotations
      • Conduct analysis of overall cost to complete quotations for LV/MV switchgear
      • Prepare cost estimates and quotations by reviewing customer specifications and other related documents
      • Work as a liaison with all stakeholders (internal/external) as needed for specifications assessment and completion of quotations

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER – PORTLAND, OR

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, analyzing/identifying causes of miss-operation and repairing instruments/products at customer’s location. In addition, when not working on site, this position will provide engineering and customer support services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Commissioning of power products and control systems for power products
      • Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations and modifications
      • Technical product support and troubleshooting
      • Work with project engineers and project managers to select and coordinate the replacement of parts
      • Document all service related activity
      • Provide IEM product training at customer sites

This position is responsible for performing all mechanical and related functions to manufacturing high quality electrical equipment.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (DESIGN / PRODUCT SUPPORT) – PORTLAND, OR

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Engineer will support our low and medium voltage product engineering and service efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

                  • Perform design, programming, troubleshooting and commissioning job functions as needed to support IEM’s products and to achieve customer goals.
                  • Create drawing packages for manufacture of custom switchgear and switchboards to applicable industry standards.
                  • Work with mechanical designers to layout out and create rough front views/plan views of switchgear and switchboards.
                  • Select components and create detailed bills of materials for our products.
                  • Write sequence of operation documents to define automatic system functionality.
                  • Complete programming assignments for automation components, protective relays, digital meters, communication devices, etc.
                  • Complete short field assignments where troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, mechanical or electrical installation or design consultation is required (generally less than 5 days at a time and not to exceed 35% of total time).

FIELD SERVICE COORDINATOR – PORTLAND, OR

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The coordinator will receive field service requests and work with department heads to find and schedule technical resources. The coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining superior customer service relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

                  • Coordinate scheduling between Customers and Field Service Engineers/Technicians for onsite visits and support requests.
                  • Provides Field Service Engineers/Technicians with required project information and documentation for each onsite visit.
                  • Make travel arrangements and create field service work folders with relevant information.
                  • Maintain and update the project databases and scheduling calendars.
                  • Answer customer inquiries by providing account related information, product specification information, prepare and distribute specific engineering materials.
                  • Coordinate with RMA on processing of returns for repairs, replacement, or credit.
                  • Order entry to all spare parts and service orders.
                  • Develop solid relationships with our customers.
                  • Oversee customer service areas including purchase orders, cost tracking, and asset tracking.

SALES ENGINEER (SWITCHGEAR – SF BAY AREA)

As a Sales Engineer for IEM in the SF Bay Area, you will be responsible for the sale of IEM power distribution products (MV/LV Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards) through direct channels. This includes developing and maintaining medium and large Electrical Contractor accounts and developing contacts and sales with key end user accounts. Candidate should be skilled in assembling large project package quotations to include IEM and non IEM products as necessary to furnish a complete bill of material to the customer. Busway and Residential Metering knowledge and experience a plus. History of annual switchgear sales in excess $4M a plus. The general territory will be select accounts in San Francisco and the East Bay. Your office base will be in the IEM Fremont production plant.

Requirements:

                  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
                  • A minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience in the sale of power distribution equipment (MV/LV switchgear/switchboards)
                  • A strong track record of negotiating medium and large project orders, successfully developing new contacts, maintaining current relationships with major contractors throughout the sales cycle and maximizing client potential is a must
                  • Experience generating accurate project proposals utilizing MV/LV switchgear plus non IEM products to present a complete bid package is required
                  • A self-motivated individual with a high level of professionalism, excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skills are also required
                  • Ideal candidate will be known in the Bay Area electrical equipment market and will have developed a trust with a core group of existing contractors, end users or electrical distributors

 


SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK – LANGLEY, BC

You will be responsible for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, recording and controlling the movement of parts, supplies and materials to and from the warehouse as well as supporting the shop floor. Creation of export paperwork (Bills of Lading, NAFTA forms, Customs paperwork, Commercial Invoices) will also be included. This position is PHYSICALLY DEMANDING.

Requirements: A minimum 2 years of experience in the warehousing industry including international shipping and the creation of export paperwork are required. The ability to lift 40 lbs, forklift experience and basic computer skills (Word & Excel) are also a must. The ideal candidate must excel in providing superior customer service, being detail oriented, and having excellent verbal and written communication skills. Being able to work overtime and with minimal direction is also a must.

 


SALES ENGINEER (SWITCHGEAR – LA AREA)

As a Sales Engineer for IEM in the Greater LA Area, you will be responsible for the sales of IEM Power distribution products (MV/LV Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards) through distribution and direct channels. This includes developing and maintaining the large Electrical Contractor accounts, Electrical Consulting Engineer accounts, Electrical Wholesale/Distribution accounts and developing contacts with key end user accounts.

Requirements: A technical degree or equivalent and a minimum 3 years’ experience in the sale of power distribution equipment (MV/LV switchgear/switchboards). A strong track record of negotiating medium and large project orders, successfully developing new contacts, maintaining current relationships with major contractors throughout the sales cycle and maximizing client potential is a must. Experience generating accurate project proposals utilizing MV/LV switchgear to present a complete bid package is required. A self-motivated individual with a high level of professionalism, excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skills are also required. Ideal candidate will be known in the greater LA electrical equipment market and will have developed a trust with a core group of existing contractors/distributors.
