IEM Completes Advanced Short-Circuit Test for Next-Generation Power Distribution Unit

January 20, 2026

IEM engineering teams have successfully completed a rigorous short-circuit test cycle for an updated configuration of a next-generation power distribution unit (PDU), marking another milestone in the company’s ongoing work with a major hyperscale client.

“The unit performed exactly as engineered, validating the skill, precision and commitment across our teams,” said Ryan Gibson, IEM’s Executive Vice President of Engineering. “This milestone reflects the engineering excellence and attention to detail that goes into every IEM product.”

Beyond technical performance, the campaign also highlights measurable gains in execution. Compared with earlier programs, the team improved testing efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The achievement reflects broader progress across engineering, manufacturing, and program delivery functions, driven by a focus on continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
IEM leaders emphasized that the project’s success was made possible by a strong safety-first mindset and the resilience of teams working under pressure.

The milestone further strengthens IEM’s track record in delivering complex, high-performance power solutions for hyperscale environments and reinforces its commitment to innovation, operational excellence and customer-focused execution.
