FP&A FINANCE MANAGER - US FLEXIBLE
Purpose of Position
This role is dedicated to delivering financial support to our Field Service organization. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements, analyzing trends, identifying and explaining variances against budget or forecast, developing financial key performance indicators (KPIs), and conducting financial analyses for capital investments and new initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five to seven years of relevant finance experience, showcasing strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strategic approach. Experience in manufacturing or commissioning new equipment in the field is desirable.
Key Responsibilities include:
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling primarily for the Field Service organization
- Provide data to support monthly accounting entries
- Perform financial analysis to support warranty reserve requirements
- Prepare and distribute monthly reporting, highlighting key trends, variance explanations and provide recommendations
- Leverage insights learned to improve business forecasting and the accuracy of business forecasts
- Assist in the development of long-term financial plans, including capital expenditure planning and resource allocation
- Drive the Field Service annual budget construction including risks and opportunities
- Support analysis of financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
- Partner with Accounting and the Field Service Department to ensure data consistency for reporting purposes
Operational Efficiency:
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, suggesting areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
- Support in the development and maintenance of project cost models and forecasts to accurately predict project financial outcomes and variance analysis
Examples of other Ad-Hoc Analysis:
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support various business initiatives, including capital projects, new site startup costs, and pricing strategies
- Partner with Business Intelligence team for data visualization and automated reporting
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
- An understanding of Financial Statements and basic accounting functions
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Point and financial planning software (Prophix is a plus)
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Tableau) and ERP systems is a plus
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Other Skills:
- Travel is expected to be around 25%, with up to 50% travel preferred during the first six months
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work independently
