MAINTENANCE MANAGER - JACKSONVILLE,FL
Purpose of Position
The Maintenance Manager will lead and oversee the facilities and maintenance operations of two fast-paced switchgear manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all facility infrastructure, production equipment, and tooling through comprehensive preventative and corrective maintenance programs. The manager will oversee the full lifecycle of equipment, ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and lead sustainability initiatives to align with the company's strategic goals. With a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity, the ideal candidate will leverage technology, drive process improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally to support operational excellence and future business growth.
Essential Functions:
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to ensure a high-performance, safety-conscious culture.
- Oversee staffing, training, and development of maintenance personnel to support facility goals.
- Foster collaboration between maintenance, production, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Preventative and Corrective Maintenance
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to maximize equipment reliability for all fabrication equipment (lasers, shears, turret punches, copper processing, welding, etc.)
- Direct corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, activities, and performance metrics.
Facility and Equipment Oversight
- Oversee maintenance and operations of facility infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure all equipment, machinery, and tooling are maintained at optimal levels to meet production requirements.
Process Improvement and Strategy
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, develop strategies, and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to predict potential issues.
- Proactively identify potential risks and recommend solutions to mitigate equipment or facility-related downtime.
Tooling Management
- Oversee tooling inventory and tracking systems to ensure availability and proper usage.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to address tooling needs and maintain inventory levels.
- Evaluate and recommend new tooling or equipment to enhance productivity and quality.
Budgeting and Resource Management
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising equipment or facility performance.
- Oversee procurement of parts, tools, and services for maintenance operations.
Emergency Response
- Lead the response to emergency maintenance situations to ensure prompt resolution and minimal disruption to production.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans for critical equipment failures and facility emergencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of implementing successful preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of tooling management and tracking systems.
